Wendy Williams blasts Lizzo’s ‘booty-exposed’ cut-out dress at Lakers game, saying it’s ‘strip club’ attire – The Sun

Outspoken Wendy Williams blasted Lizzo's 'booty-exposed' cut-out dress at a recent Los Angeles Lakers game, saying it's "strip club" attire.

Wendy, 55, didn't hold back when she discussed the revealing t-shirt dress Lizzo wore to the Sunday game on her show last night.

The 31-year-old – whose real name is Melissa Viviane Jefferson – made headlines this week when she stood up and twerked in her exposed thong as the cheerleaders danced to Juice.

Although Wendy said she admired Lizzo's tenacity and talent during the 'Hot Topics' segment, the talk show host derided her outfit as inappropriate for the Staples Center.

"That's a dress that had the cut-out going on, which means she was sitting booty-down on the seat. She was sitting booty-down in the car. She was walking booty-exposed into the theater.

"I would normally think that they would stop her at security and say, 'Um, ma'am, we understand, but there are children here. Games are a family affair and everyone doesn't want to see all that.'"

Wendy added that she didn't "care whether it's Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Madonna — it's just wrong. Just wrong. Sorry, Lizzo" as the audience clapped.

"I admire her going ahead with who she is on one hand," she continued. "On the other hand, I think maybe there's a time and a place for a cut-out with a thong showing.

"Like maybe at a Lizzo show, or maybe the strip club or maybe the night club. I don't know, but to each his own," Wendy surmised.

"A lot of families aren't shocked by that, you know. We're raising our kids to understand that people do all kinds of things and it's up to you to make your own choices.

"Good luck, Lizzo," Wendy concluded, doubling down slightly on her more inflammatory statements about Lizzo's Sunday apparel.

The singer's style at the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves game broke the internet Kim K-style, generating numerous headlines.

Although The Wendy Williams Show wasn't too complimentary other celebs like Jameela Jamil have rushed to Lizzo's defence.

Quoting the Good As Hell rapper's defence on Instagram Live, Jameela said it was "the best thing you will watch on the internet today."

"[It's] about being body shamed and how little it affects her and how happy and successful and grateful she is," Jameela said.

The popstar's courtsite outfit choice spawned a lot of opinion online, with many people tweeting various opinions about Lizzo's dress.

One person said that her critics just "hate fat people" while another queried whether she was naked.

A third user tweeted that she admired Lizzo's "body-positive attitude," saying she was an inspiration.

Lizzo defended her decision to show off her "thong kumquat" on social media, saying she was a "grown ass woman" and that "negative criticism has no stake in my life."

"It doesn’t really matter what goes on on the internet, nothing really breaks my joy," the sassy songstress said. "I’m a really solid, grounded person.

"I know that I’m shocking because you’ve never seen—in a long time—a body like mine doing whatever it wants to do and dressing the way that it dresses and moving the way that it moves.

"I’m surrounded by love, and I just wanna spread that love—and also spread these cheeks. And if you really, really don’t like my ass, you can kiss it."

Meanwhile, Wendy isn't exactly a wallflower when it comes to calling people out on her eponymous talk show.

Only last week, she blamed Jessica Biel for Justin Timberlake being picutred holding hands with his co-star Alisha Wainwright, saying Jessica was "too serious" for him.

Wendy previously blasted Lori Loughlin's daughter Las "stupid and entitled" when Olivia Jade made a tentative return to YouTube after the college admissions scandal.
