It goes without saying that Strictly Come Dancing couple Neil and Katya Jones have had a rocky few weeks after Katya’s now-infamous kiss with her dance partner Seann Walsh.
While professional dancer Neil never directly addressed the scandal, viewers thought his expression said it all on the following episode – claiming he had a “face like thunder”.
At the time, Katya insisted their relationship was “absolutely fine”. She tweeted: “I love my husband and we are very happy together, this is not a reflection on our relationship.”
And following Seann and Katya’s elimination two weeks ago, Neil seemed to have perked up a little.
He went on to share a throwback video of himself and Katya this week, and on tonight’s episode, eagle-eyed fans noticed that the pair were stood next to each other as they watched the other couples perform.
We must say, they seemed pretty comfortable together. After Graeme Swann and Oti Mabuse danced an energetic Salsa, they were both seen grinning and cheering them on.
Viewers were certainly pleased to spot the sweet moment, with one tweet reading: “I cannot tell you how happy it makes me to see Katya and Neil back standing together and enjoying the show together. I love them so much.”
Another person wrote: “I’m not the only one fixed on watching Neil and Katya in the background, right?”
We don’t know about you, but we’re just glad Neil’s got a smile back on his face.
