Pennywise spreads his terror in Port Hope, Canada and Bill Hader has got to witness it firsthand. Bill Skarsgard sported the evil clown makeup and full costume during the filming of “It: Chapter 2” in the town on Wednesday, September 19 with his co-star, who plays the adult version of Richie Tozier.

Previously, on Monday, Skarsgard as Pennywise was spotted filming his scenes at a muddy swamp area.

“It: Chapter 2” is set 27 years after the events in the first film. The Losers’ Club members, now adults, return to Derry, Maine to face the evil clown Pennywise once again, unaware that it has returned stronger than ever and has awaited their arrival, waiting to exact its wrathful vengeance upon them.

“It” director Andy Muschietti returns behind the lens for the sequel, with Gary Dauberman returning as the scribe. Filming began in June and has taken place at the Pinewood Toronto Studios and on locations in and around Port Hope, Oshawa and Toronto, Ontario. The horror movie is set for a September 6, 2019 release in the U.S.

The cast includes Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Jay Ryan, James Ransone and Isaiah Mustafa as the adult Beverly, Bill, Ben, Eddie and Mike respectively. The original young actors, including Sophia Lillis, Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Jeremy Ray Taylor and Chosen Jacobs, will still appear in the upcoming movie.

Muschietti previously said that the kid elements in the next movie wouldn’t just be brief throwbacks, but “they’re a very big part of the action.” He added, “On the second movie, that dialogue between timelines will be more present. If we’re telling the story of adults, we are going to have flashbacks that take us back to the ’80s and inform the story in the present day.”
