Michael Jackson performs tracks from acclaimed album Bad in Moonwalker.

8.20pm, NITV

Not a movie by the classic definition, in that it doesn't actually have a plot. Or actors. And the central segment, featuring a bizarre combo of too-cute kids and machineguns (no, it doesn't make any more sense when you watch it) feels more peculiar now than it did on its release in 1988. On the upside, what you do get is a succession of music videos from one of Michael Jackson's most awesome albums, Bad, all of them featuring MJ doing his thing. That alone is worth the price of admission.

LINE OF DUTY

★★★★

9.15pm, ABC

You could make pretty much any old show starring Thandie Newton and Lee Ingleby and have something worth watching. Add in the kind of confronting, serpentine and often nail-biting storytelling we've come to expect from Line of Duty, and you have something a bit special. Unsurprisingly, Newton is the magnetic north of this drama, commanding attention and grudging empathy even as she works diligently to undermine an important investigation, her colleagues, and ultimately herself.

SPEED WITH GUY MARTIN

Season final ★★★

7.30pm, SBS Viceland

They call Guy Martin the Lincolnshire Lorry Mechanic. And with his lamb chop whiskers and hand-crocheted beanies, he looks exactly like a Lincolnshire lorry mechanic. From 1972. One who loves a lager. The whole show is pretty basic and grubby, but that's a large part of its appeal as Martin sets about exploring machines that go fast and the often-eccentric characters behind them. Tonight that's pedal-powered hydrofoils, and a race to break yet another speed record.
