TOWIE Queen Bee Chloe Sims claims to have finally found true love during lockdown – with herself.
The hopeless romantic, 37, has had her heartbroken numerous times on the hit reality show which returns to ITVBe with a new series tonight at 9pm.
But the TV stunner reckons the lockdown imposed during the Covid-19 pandemic has taught her how to love herself, instead of seeking love from a man.
"It has taken a worldwide pandemic for me to really love myself," she exclusively told The Sun Online.
"The whole pandemic put a lot of things into perspective for me and made me realise I am OK being on my own."
Chloe has had her heart-broken by a long line of TV exes including; Dan Edgar, Elliot Wright, and Mario Falcone.
"At first I found it really scary, it was the fear of the unknown," she said.
"I normally love going to bed but I really struggled to go to sleep and it got to the point when I actually hated that time every day when the night arrived.
"I am an over-thinker so I would lay awake and worry all night because I didn't feel safe.
"But in the end lockdown proved to me I don't need a man to protect me and I am capable of being alone.
"It was the first time in my life I was completely single. What I mean by that is I wasn't even texting or messaging a guy.
"The time out from everything has made me a better person.
"Having everything stripped back and not been in the rat race has shown me more than ever what is important in life and what isn't."
Towie's longest running cast-member is expected to face more heart-ache this series after falling out with BFF Pete Wicks.
The pair haven't spoken since an explosive fight back in January.
But despite learning to love herself during six-months of solitude, Chloe hasn't given up on her prince charming.
"I know I will be OK by myself but that doesn't mean I want to be alone," she said.
"I still do believe in love unfortunately. Sometimes I wish there was a pill I could take to stop me being a hopeless romantic.
"I honestly think life would be so much easier if I didn't keep falling in love all the time.
"I would definitely get a lot more done and life would be a lot more peaceful.
"But having said that of course I want someone I love, who loves me back.
"I want to be a team with someone. Someone who I am allowed to love and don't have to play games with or worry that I'm showing them too much love."
But despite her optimism the single mum-of-one admits she may never marry.
She added: "I have accepted that times have changed and that might not happen.
"I think men seem to have a completely different attitude to love and romance than they used to. I think social media has killed love.
"I just want to meet a soldier who will be there by my side. It is quite hard to be a one-woman band all the time."
