Tin Star season two ended with a shootout on the land of the Ammonites and a cliffhanger ending which saw the Worth family split up and heading in different directions. Sky Atlantic and Amazon Prime may be airing Tin Star season three soon, so fans are looking to have the Tin Star season two ending explained in terms of what it means for the new series. Tin Star fans can read on to find out what happens at the end of the Sky and Amazon show.
What happened at the end of Tin Star?
WARNING: This article contains spoilers for the end of Tin Star season 2
Tin Star season two saw Jim (Tim Roth), Angela (Genevieve O’Reilly) and Anna Worth team up with Pastor Johan’s (John Lynch) religious community to fight off the cartel.
The ending of the show saw Jim, Angela and Anna all go their separate ways after the shooting had stopped.
The final shot of the series sees Jim walking away from the town he brought carnage to down a long road.
HOW MANY EPISODES ARE IN TIN STAR?
Though Jim is definitely alive and the end of Tin Star season two and Anna and Angela are presumed alive, not every cast member was so lucky to escape with their lives.
Johan’s wife Sarah Nickel (Anamaria Marinca) is shot in the throat when a cartel member breaks into her house and Johan is unable to save her in time.
Johan himself then dies a few minutes later in a hail of bullets.
However, he takes one final stand with his shotgun to take out the last of the enemies of the town before dying in the town graveyard.
WHO IS IN THE CAST OF TIN STAR?
In the previous episode, their daughter Rosa (Jenessa Grant) was killed, bringing the Nickel family to a tragic ending.
In the first half of the final episode, which saw the town preparing for the siege, Jim and Angela reveal a shocking fact to their daughter Anna.
After Constable Denise Minahik (Sarah Podemski) delivers an envelope featuring a picture of an infant Anna to Jim, he knows the time has come to reveal he is not her real father.
The ending of Tin Star season two does not reveal who her real father is – though she says she still sees Jim as her real father – save to say he’s a “villain”.
Though the identity of Anna’s real father isn’t known, he surely will feature if Tin Star gets a third series.
According to the series’ executive producer Alison Jackson, Tin Star season three is in “active development”, meaning that we may soon know about Anna’s real father and where Anna, Jim and Angela all end up after the Tin Star finale.
Speaking to Express.co.uk, Roth, Lawrie and O’Reilly revealed that even they don’t know what became of their characters after the ending of Tin Star season two.
“We literally don’t know,” admitted O’Reilly, though if the season two ending is anything to go by, series three may see her and the boy she gave her bulletproof vest to form a further bond.
Tin Star season 2 airs Thursdays on Sky Atlantic
