The Walking Dead season 9 spoilers: Ezekiel star exposes ‘GROSS’ Alpha detail you missed

The Walking Dead fans are thrilled by creepy Alpha (played by Samantha Morton) and her hideous ways.

Last week, the villain donned a cute green frock and summer hat in order to infiltrate The Kingdom and steal some residents to behead them.

However, the gruesome scenes were apparently more horrific than viewers initially thought – and that was down to Alpha’s disguise.

Underneath her hat, she kept her zombie mask which she wears to hide herself in plain sight, but according to Ezekiel star, Khary Payton, that outfit was so much worse than everyone thought.

Speaking at Walker Stalker in London yesterday, Khary spilled the details on her outfit, and how she had a layer of flesh poking out from under her straw garment.

The actor explained: “Underneath the hat that Samantha Morton was wearing and the wig… You never saw it because she had the hat on, but there was this tiny line of blood.

“It was so creepy,” Khary admitted. “I just want you guys to know it’s there because it makes it all the more gross.”

The Ezekiel star continued: “She looked so cute in that dress, then I looked a bit closer and it was there! And oh my God.”

His character and Alpha shared a face-off in episode 15 in a moment that was supposed to be a red herring.

Famously, Ezekiel was supposed to have his head on one of the pikes as it was told in the comic book originals.

However, he made it out alive, with 10 other characters taking his place.

Khary added to fans at Walker Stalker: “There is always like a 13-year-old boy that comes up to me and says, ‘I know how you’re gonna die.’

“I had to hold it in for months like, ‘No you don’t, you have no idea I am not gonna die.’”

He teased how fans are positive Khary’s beloved character will end up dead following the conclusion of episode 16.

But will that happen in tonight’s finale? Perhaps not, as The Walking Dead viewers are positive they will see Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) return.

Rick was whisked away to an unknown land when a helicopter rescued him.

AMC confirmed there would be a spin-off featuring the hero in the coming years, but will he ever return to the main show?

A new image from the season finale has given the biggest clue Rick will be back – in the form of a voice on Eugene’s (Josh McDermitt) radio.

But will Rick really make an appearance this evening considering he only just left?

The Walking Dead season 9 concludes tonight on AMC and tomorrow night on Fox UK at 9pm.
