Your first day in a new job can be stressful, but it’s probably best to try not to make anyone else burst into tears.
Unfortunately, The One Show‘s Alex Jones did just that when she made her Strictly Come Dancing professional dance partner James Jordan cry on her first day of training for the 2011 series.
Appearing on today’s (August 24) This Morning alongside guest presenters (and fellow Strictly contestants) Mollie King and Mark Wright, Jones revealed: “I remember the first day of training my dance partner [James Jordan] actually cried.
“He was like, ‘I thought you might have some rhythm!'”
Luckily, Mark stepped in to let Alex know that she wasn’t the only one who associates tears with their first day of Strictly, adding: “I cried on my first day.”
Jones also described her complete lack of dance ability when she first started on the show, which ultimately saw her finish in fifth place with Harry Judd and Aliona Vilani going on to become that series’ winners.
“I was so hideous,” Jones remembered. “I don’t know how I lasted so long.”
