The Grand Tour brought a new collection of cars to TV screens on Amazon Prime Video every week.
Each of the hosts – Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May – have shown off their favourites throughout the show.
However Jeremy seems to have an affinity for some of the older cars featured in the show.
Jeremy has worked his way through a number of cars during his lifetime, and has now spoken out about which car he regrets selling.
Speaking to the Chronicle Herald, he revealed: “The one I really regret selling was a BMW 3.0 CSL.
“I bought it for £3,000 and sold it for £2,800. They’re now worth… a lot – but it’s not just the monetary value, it was such a great car.”
Not satisfied with his answer, Jeremy then continued to discuss why he prefers the older cars to newer models.
He explained: “New cars tend to blur into one another. They’re just 14 feet of car. You buy them like wallpaper.
“Whereas an old car will have a personality for sure. We’re all in agreement on the show that old cars are terrible — noisy, unreliable, drafty and don’t have air conditioning and the steering is heavy and they ride badly and they’re not particularly fast.
“But a lot of them do look extremely lovely, and that I think is the appeal: rarity and loveliness.”

This may be why the show sometimes focusses on the older models of car rather than the newer ones, and why the hosts look for excuses to bring out-of-commission cars to the forefront of the show.
Fans of the show need not worry, however, as it seems as if the show is due to remain on screen for some time.
Jeremy was later asked about how long the show would continue with his age increasing.
To which he cheekily responded: “Let me just rephrase that question… How long do I want to keep travelling the world at somebody else’s expense and be paid a fortune to do what I absolutely love doing?”
He added: “Yeah, that’s an easy one to answer: as long as possible. As long as my knees hold out.”
His work was not yet done, however, as he then took the opportunity to take down his colleagues in a single swoop.
Jeremy cheekily took a swipe, saying: “The only downside is Hammond and May, but it’s a small price to pay.”
Luckily for fans it looks as if the show is here to stay, and with preparations currently being made for the fourth season, they hopefully won’t have long to wait for its return.
And this will most likely bring another slew of older cars for both Jeremy and viewers to admire.
The Grand Tour will return to Amazon Prime Video.
