Tonight, as all four contestants failed to impress as they failed walk away with the prize money. But fans on Twitter were quick to criticise The Chaser for another reason.
On this evening’s instalment, Brittany, Stewie and Ruth all got knocked out after their head to head with Mark, leaving fellow contestant Dave on his own, who was the first and only player to get through to the final round.
Brittany was up next, and the biochemistry student was quick to issue a jibe at The Chaser.
“Are you alright? Bradley, I think he looks a bit nervous” joked the contestant.
After a successful cash builder in which she got six questions correct, she failed to get through as she slipped up on a question about The Solent.

The Chaser noted that Brittany’s departure would be a loss for Dave, as although the student didn’t get every question right, she had speed in her answers.
“Dave is old and slow, what he knows he takes forever to get right… he’ll never get above 20.” The Chaser mocked.
Dave, was ironically the only contestant to make it through to the Final Chase.
Fellow players Ruth and Stewie also got knocked out, as The Beast appeared to be on form.
Dave only managed a score of 11 during the final round after struggling with the lack of players by his side.
However, in the Final Chase, viewers were quick to notice The Chaser seemed to have lost his way, as he had 3 pushbacks in quick succession.
Some suspected that he was trying to make things easier for Dave, who had a difficult solo Final Chase.
“The beast made a bit of a meal of those questions, I thought it would be all over within a minute #thechase”

“Beast making a game of it??? #TheChase” another asked.
One also was confused, as it appeared to take longer for Mark to think
They tweeted: “It’s funny when the chaser on #TheChase deliberately gets an answer wrong to give the single contestant a chance in the final. The Beast spent more time thinking of an alternative answer to the Grand National than simply saying pass”
Another shared: “I think Mark’s at it. Getting easy questions wrong to make it (slightly) more interesting. #thechase”
Some viewers also wondered why Mark was able to get away with using simply a surname in one of his answers, rather than the full name.

“Fleming Not the full name required? #TheChase,” asked one.
Another user questioned: “Why do Chasers get away with answering with just a surname, Brad would ask for a first name too if the contestants tried that #TheChase.”
However, another viewer appeared to clarify the viewer’s confusion, answering: “He only demands a name when it’s ambiguous. “Fleming” or “Hemingway” is enough. “Brunel” isn’t as both son Isambard and father Marc were engineers. #TheChase”
Unfortunately for Dave, Mark caught him with 30 seconds to spare, remarking that his win was due to the lack of teammates, telling Dave: “couple of teammates, I’d have been sweating.”
The Chase continues tomorrow at 5pm on ITV
