The preening 22-year-old, who was on the receiving end of Lord Sugar's firing finger in last night's episode, insists he was specifically kept in – because he's so entertaining.
Lord Sugar made Kurran project manager for the advertising task, which saw the teams attempting to invent a low-budget airline.
The results saw the law graduate, who has been branded the worst candidate in Apprentice history, deliver an almighty loss for his team – but it left viewers in hysterics.
He believes he survived last week's disastrous shoe-designing task, which saw professional escort Rick Monk leave the show, and was ordered to manage the advertising task so he could entertain us all.
He told the Radio Times: "I think it would be naive to think that [airline] task wasn’t made for me. I’ve said from the get-go I want to be an actor and want to direct the advert.
"The fact that [Lord Sugar] made me project manager was… I don’t know what goes on behind the scenes, but I know there are producers somewhere right now rubbing their hands.”
That chimes precisely with what Rick said last week when he explained how Kurran was kept on instead of him because he "makes better TV".
Brandishing a broken arm, Kurran told his team last night: "Everything I've done in my life has been leading up to this point" before overseeing a series of disasters that led to his firing.
Speaking after his departure, he claimed there was another reason Lord Sugar put him in charge of that particular task – his dad's ownership of an airline known as Poo UK.
He says: "It’s no longer running, but my father had an airline when I was around five or six.
"It was called Poo UK, like my surname. I think the slogan was: 'Relax and let Poo take the strain.’”
Hopeful actor Kurran also said Lord Sugar hurt his feelings by making a series of jokes about his broken arm.
The grizzled peer had quipped: "You got your big break. And from what I’ve heard you’ve been in Casualty."
Kurran said: "I was out of hospital and into the boardroom with about two hours sleep.
"My arm was not functioning and he was cracking jokes. Like, I get it, you’re funny. But I found it a little bit insensitive.”
Earlier in the series, viewers were treated to the story of how Kurran broke his arm in an arm-wrestling contest with fellow candidate Daniel Elahi.
As former contestant Frank Brook explained: "About ten seconds into this arm wrestle there was this most awful noise.
“I thought somebody had broken a chair!"
