TEEN Mom star Kailyn Lowry was forced to defend herself after uploading a video of her 2-year-old son wearing diapers.
Fans had some less than kind words for the mom of three, claiming she needed to potty train Lux.
The Teen Mom 2 alum recently posted a video of her son, Lux, dancing while just wearing a diaper.
And although many fans commented how adorable her son was, one fan decided to express her opinion about him still wearing a diaper.
The fan wrote: "I think you're one heck of a mom, Kailyn, but really? Lux needs to be out of diapers."
"He's so advanced – I just think he looks ready."
But the 27-year-old clapped back at her follower for criticizing her parenting style.
She said: "Lux turned 2 in August. I’m not going to rush him into something based on someone else’s standards.
"What works for us is waiting until he’s ready. Not when I'M ready."
Many fans also came to her defense and talked about their own experiences with their children.
One user wrote: "My kids were four when they were potty trained. I waited until they were ready. Every child is different."
Another one tweeted: "All three of my boys were three or almost three when they were potty trained. You're doing the right thing."
While another one commented: "My first daughter wasn't fully potty trained until she was four. She was too scared to go number 2 on the potty until then.
"You're absolutely right to let him do it at HIS time and no one else's. P.S. his video was adorable!"
Many children start to show signs of being ready for potty training between 18 and 24 months, according to the Mayo Clinic.
However, some kids aren't ready until they're three or even four years old, but as most followers commented, it's up to the child.
The Mayo Clinic even says that if potty training starts too early, it might take a while to fully potty train them.
This isn't the first time that fans of the show have criticized Kailyn for her parenting style with Lux.
Earlier last year, she came under fire for Lux's long hair.
She then responded: "I’ll cut it when he tells me he wants to cut it. But you can mind your business, lil momma."
Kailyn shares son Lux with ex Chris Lopez.
During a Teen Mom 2 reunion, she told hosts Dr. Drew and Nessa Diab that she was raising Lux on her own.
She said: "There’s no co-parenting right now. Right now, he is just working and going to therapy as far as I know. Working on himself.
"And I know he will see Lux when the time is right."
She's also mom to Isaac with ex-boyfriend Jo Rivera, and Lincoln with ex-husband Javi Marroquin.
