Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) is soon set to face sentencing after crashing her car into the Argee Bhajee in EastEnders several months ago.
The incident has left Kim with severe anxiety, as she worries about potentially going to prison for the crime.
After the crash, Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) was hospitalised with some serious injuries, and though he later made a full recovery, actress Tameka Empson has revealed that Kim is haunted by ‘the what if’s’.
‘Denzel luckily is fine but she can’t get over the fact that she crashed the car and put him in that position,’ she explained.
‘She’s worked herself up by replaying it over and over and everything is under a microscope at the moment. So when there’s a bang, someone shouts or a loud noise, she automatically thinks it’s about her.’

As the day of her sentencing dawns, Kim’s anxiety about going to court is through the roof, as she fears she will be sent down.
‘She’s beside herself. She really doesn’t want to go but she knows she has to do the right thing. Deep down there’s a feeling of “this could be it” and she could go down for it.’
‘There’s signs around her everywhere to say that she’s going down.
‘She knows that Howie Danes (Delroy Atkinson) and Denise Fox (Diana Parish) love her and they want the best for her but I think she has a little voice in her head that is saying “you could go down for this”.’
Tameka went onto reveal that Kim is ‘thinking the worst’ ahead of her sentencing, with her anxiety focused on what would happen to her children, as well as the unknown of life in prison.
‘[She’s anxious] that she won’t be able to cope and that she’ll breakdown in such a way that she can’t rebuild herself again.
‘She’s got young children, so she’s got anxiety about them – how will they cope? How long will she be away for if she’s in prison? I think she’s built it up so much in her head because she hasn’t been open to anyone about it.
‘When you think prison, you just think Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) or Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) but now it might be her. Unlike Phil and Janine though, Kim hasn’t lived that kind of her life so she’s going into a scenario where she won’t have any control and she’s thinking the worst.’
As Kim faces the judge, will she escape with a minor sentence, or will she spend time behind bars?
