Amazon’s teaser trailer for “Suspiria” was so perfect in setting up the film’s uneasy tension that the thought of an official trailer seems unneeded. Fortunately, the new trailer for Luca Guadagnino’s remaining of Dario Argento’s horror classic boldly sets the stage for an atmospheric bloodbath we can’t wait to experience.
“Suspiria” stars Dakota Johnson as an aspiring dancer who becomes the new member of a prestigious international dance company. The group is led by Tilda Swinton’s artistic director, but there are more sinister forces at work that threaten to corrupt Johnson’s Suzie Suzy Bannion for good. The supporting cast includes Mia Goth, Chloe Grace Moretz, original “Suspiria” star Jessica Harper.
Amazon Studios is world premiering “Suspiria” in competition at the Venice Film Festival. The horror drama will open in select theaters on November 2. Watch the official trailer below.
