Strictly’s Stacey Dooley suffers first wardrobe malfunction of the series

If there’s one unfortunate event guaranteed to happen on any series of Strictly Come Dancing , it’s an awkward wardrobe malfucntion.

With all that high-energy bopping and popping, not to mention the lifts, things are bound to get misplaced mid routine.

But a contestant of the 2018 series managed to suffer a mishap even before she’d set foot on the dancefloor.

Making an entrance at the glittering Strictly launch show, broadcaster Stacey Dooley was a ball of energy as she burst onto the runway in a thigh-skimming flapper dress.

Later in the evening as she posed for pics with competitors Katie Piper and Lee Ryan, award-winning TV broadcaster Stacey’s daring gown appeared to reveal slightly more than intended.

The cut of Stacey’s revealing dress left her accidentally flashing her nude-coloured knickers.

Katie shared the picture, and several others from the launch night to her Instagram page, with the post quickly clocked up over 30,000 ‘likes’ on the site.

On Monday night, Katie, Stacey and the 13 other celebrity contestants appeared in the Strictly finery for the first time for the show’s red carpet launch.

They were joined by judges Darcey Bussell, Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli.

Hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman were also in attendance helping to kick off proceedings before the official start date in September.

Celebs including What Not to Wear’s Susannah Constantine, ITV’s Dr Ranj Singh and cricketer Graeme Swann donned their sequins and showed their Strictly makeovers for the first time.

The 15 famous faces had been totally Strictly-fied with fake tan, sparkling outfits and dazzling moves aplenty.
