Strictly Come Dancing viewers convinced show bosses use a GUITAR to keep Seann Walsh and Katya Jones apart during quickstep

The couple danced to Jake Bugg's song Lightning Bolt, with comedian Seann, 32, playing the part of a busker.

This required him to strum a guitar which was then incorporated into the first few moments of their dance as they held it between them while moving across the floor.

But some viewers felt it was a clever ploy to keep them from getting too close, after sharing a drunken snog earlier this month.

Following the furore the pictures caused, the couple had last week's routine changed from a sexy Rumba to a Charleston.

And now viewers think producers did their best to stop them being too hands on during this week's routine too.

Taking to Twitter, one fan of the show wrote: "@bbcstrictly They made them dance with a guitar between them #Strictly #timeisup."

Another added: "Why are seann and katya dancing with a guitar between them and now dancing at different ends of the floor. Soon they'll be dancing in different rooms…on different nights…in different countries."

A third tweeted: "Seann and katya with their chastity guitar to protect the innocent" while a fourth shared: "well that's one way of ensuring seann & katya don't get too close; stick a guitar in between them #strictly."

They weren't the only ones who noticed the addition of the prop, with another viewer writing: "Enjoy that the BBC put a large guitar in-between Seann and Katya to stop them touching."

Others agreed that it was potentially a production decision to use the guitar, writing: "The BBC are literally putting a guitar between Seann and Katya to keep them apart now."

One person who will have been glad of such a decision is Katya's husband, Neil Jones.

Viewers were convinced show bosses 'hid' the 35-year-old at the back of the group as Seann and Katya, 29, chatted about their performance with Claudia Winkleman.

It comes after he was seen with a 'face like thunder' last week following their Charleston routine, their first since the drunken snog scandal kicked off.
