The BBC newsreader left fans open mouthed with her racy Cha Cha that saw her pulling off her trademark spectacles and oozing sex appeal.
Kate, 48, couldn’t stop grinning after kissing Aljaz and told the audience she’d asked her husband’s permission before locking lips with the hunk.
After she performed to Tom Jones’ hit Kiss, fans took to Twitter to heap praise upon her, with one writing: “Go Kate #Strictly Woah rockin!”
Another added: “I friggin' love Kate's confidence.”
While a third said: “Wow @katesilverton1 and @AljazSkorjanec great cha cha cha – Kate you look stunning!”
A fourth told their followers: “Love the sass, Kate has potential!”
The judges were equally full of praise for her sexy performance, with Bruno Tonioli telling her: “You’re such a saucy minx. I want to see more!”
Darcey Bussell added: “You were oozing that flirty lady role, I was not expecting that. The performance value was extraordinary.”
The newsreader didn’t get the highest score, landing a 20 on her first dance but she wasn’t put off.
Kate said after her performance: “I messed up dress rehearsal and to nail it, I’m so grateful I got through it!”
When asked about her cheeky kiss with Aljaz, Kate looked at her husband and said he was fine with it.
Grinning, Aljaz added: “Kate’s husband is a marine so that will be interesting later!”
