Star Wars’ Domhnall Gleeson has revealed himself as the only person in the galaxy to not care about Baby Yoda.
We’re feeling very betrayed.
The cute creature has stolen the hearts of Star Wars fans around the world, while also being turned into the best meme of 2019. We won’t hear anything different, thanks.
However, Domhnall wasn’t quite as impressed with the little chap.
Chatting to Metro.co.uk at the European Rise Of Skywalker premiere, the General Hux actor said: ‘I’ve not seen Baby Yoda. I’m not familiar with his work, but you know, looking forward to catching up.’
He went on to question: ‘Is he here tonight? He’s not made it?’
Tragically not.
However, he’s not the only person on the Star Wars cast to have some less than kind words for the creature, after Oscar Isaac, who plays Poe Dameron, joked that he had no time for the new addition to the franchise.
The actor told news.com.au: ‘I’m not into the Baby Yoda thing. Kill it! Stamp it! Smoosh it!’
His co-star John Boyega, however, was quick to defend the creature and said: ‘Really? He’s so cute.’
John is officially our new favourite. We don’t make the rules.
Despite Star Wars having a similar approach to secret-keeping as Marvel, with Naomi Ackie (Jannah) previously revealing that she only saw a script twice, Domhnall explained that he was one of the lucky ones to know everything that happens, although he branded the experience ‘very scary’.
However, there’s one part of the movie no one is prepared for – Carrie Fisher’s scenes.
‘That is one of the things I’m very much looking forward to,’ he admitted, ‘because Carrie was obviously an amazing person and an incredible actor.
‘I’ve got a feeling that’ll be very special.’
We’ll have the tissues at the ready.
Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker is released on 19 December.
