Sir Ian McKellen told twoThis Morning presenters that they "looked like an omelette".
The acting legend made the eggy comparison during a segment of This Morning on Thursday (June 1) due to Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary's outfit choices.
Alison was wearing vibrant yellow while Derm was in white – like the egg yolk and whites, presumably.

Sir Ian, 84, went on to joke that "he was the filling" of the omelette before Alison ran over to the sofa to hug him saying: "What are you like?"
The Lord of the Rings star said: "Well I thought you two had come as an omelette.
"He's the white to your yolk and I'm the filling."
Both Alison, 48, and Dermot, 50, cracked up and said they had been "properly roasted".
Elsewhere in Lord of the Rings news, Sir Ian confessed that he wasn't bothered about the idea of the film initially and that he only agreed to do it as he just fancied a holiday in New Zealand – where the franchise was filmed.
He also recalled that when he first met director Peter Jackson, the script just consisted of some pictures and that Peter, 61, wasn't even wearing shoes.
He said: "I thought, what is all this – I didn't rate it at all till I got there.
"But once we made the first film, to make the next two and subsequently a further three was lovely as you knew there was an audience waiting for it.
"You don't always know that when you're making a film."
Sir Ian went on to say that he still had not read the Lord of the Rings books but that he did manage to pilfer some keepsakes from the film – namely the key to Bilbo Baggins' home in Bag End.
