SIMON Cowell is eyeing up this £30million Barbados mansion after selling his Los Angeles home.
The 61-year-old star will be holidaying on the Caribbean island over the Christmas break – if Covid restrictions allow – and checking out the mansion previously used by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The sprawling 10-bed, cliff-side residence was also previously used by the star as his Judges’ Houses base on the X Factor.
News of the purchase comes two months after he broke his back in a freak electric bike accident.
Last night a source said: “Simon has always loved Barbados, but always rented in the past – at great expense.
“But since breaking his back, he’s been reassessing his priorities and has been enjoying a slower, more laid pace of life.
“He’s sold his pad in LA, and wants a permanent base in Barbados where he can totally unwind and get away from everything.”
Simon is understood to be lining-up an offer for the 20,000 sq ft villa – which boasts a cinema, gym and spa – on the exclusive west coast of the island which goes up for auction next month.
Harry and Meghan previously holidayed in it while other house guests have included Tom Cruise, Rihanna and Nicole Kidman.
