Simon Cowell is set for a reunion with Susan Boyle and Paul Potts in a special America’s Got Talent series.
The show will be bringing back 50 previous finalists of Got Talent series across the world to compete against each other, and NBC has now revealed the first wave of competitors.
Britain’s Got Talent 2009 runner-up Susan Boyle and 2007 winner Paul Potts will feature in that first wave, meaning they will once again stand before the man who backed their talents when they first appeared on the show.
Since her unlikely success story on Britain’s Got Talent almost a decade ago, SuBo has earned two Grammy nominations and has sold in excess of 20 million albums globally.

In Cowell’s mind, Boyle and Paul Potts remain the gold standard in terms of Britain’s Got Talent success stories.
“I think her and Paul in particular, they defined the show which is giving the underdog a shot and then they had a career, and I don’t think another show could have done that,” the BGT boss said.

BGT‘s 2013 winners, shadow dance group Attraction, and 2017 runner-up, kid magician Issy Simpson, will also be competing.
America’s Got Talent: The Champions premieres on Monday, January 7 on NBC, and welcomes back all four of the judges, consisting of Simon Cowell, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel. The show will also have a new host in Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s Terry Crews.
