Her financial struggles come six years after the ex Westlife singer filed for bankruptcy.
According to a report in The Mirror, official documents state Gillian was ruled bankrupt by the High Court on July 23.
The publication added that her bankruptcy relates to joint loans she shared with her husband.
A representative for Shane, 38, confirmed the news, but said there would be no further comment.
Shane was forced to file for bankruptcy in 2012 after the property development company he owned with his brother Finbar, Shafin Developments, was placed into receivership with debts of €23m.
The company were also forced to shelve plans of building a nursing home and supermarket.
Shane even had to give up his €10million five-bedroom home in Carraroe, Co Sligo after filing for bankruptcy in Kingston Crown Court.
The couple are parents to three kids Nicole, 13, Patrick, nine, and Shane Jnr, eight.
Discussing his bankruptcy with the Irish Sun last year, he said: “It was one of those true stories where it was like it was really bad and I had to start again and literally rebuild my life block by block to a certain degree.
“It was kind of like, ‘this is going to be scary’, but it made me focus and say, ‘this has to succeed' this can’t just be another guy from a boyband who doesn’t do well, it had to be a success’.
"And it is and it’s just forward now and it’s just good.
"I’m happy, I’m healthy, the kids are.”
