Sarah Jessica Parker's HBO comedy Divorce is returning for a third series

HBO has renewed Sarah Jessica Parker’s Divorce for a six-episode third season.

The series follows Frances (SJP) as she decides, after raising two children and sharing more than 10 years of marriage with Robert, to reevaluate her life.

Divorce also stars fellow Emmy winner Thomas Haden Church as Frances’ husband Robert, and is created and executive produced by Catastrophe‘s Sharon Horgan.

According to Entertainment Weekly, there are a couple of changes to the show in season three. Co-executive producer Liz Tuccillo has been promoted to showrunner and executive producer, while recurring star Becki Newton (Jackie) will also be a series regular.

Production on season three will begin in early 2019.

Back in 2016, Parker told Digital Spy that she originally had “no intention” of starring in Divorce, despite developing the show for four years.

In more SJP news, the actress recently suggested that there’ll never be another Sex and the City film if Kim Cattrall isn’t in it.

Writing on Instagram, Parker replied to a fan who asked for Cattrall’s character Samantha Jones to be written out of the movie in order for a third film to be made, saying: “Not sure if I can imagine doing another movie without her.”
