Ayda, 39, admitted they were “eternally grateful” to the woman who had their surrogate daughter and said: “Family comes in all forms. We are over the moon.”
The US-born star announced their surprise news with a touching Instagram snap of the baby girl clutching Angels singer Robbie’s tattooed hand.
Alongside were Ayda’s hand and those of the couple’s other kids Teddy, five, and Charlie, three.
Ayda wrote “So we have been keeping a very special secret! We are delighted to share with you that we have had a baby girl. Welcome to the world Colette (Coco) Josephine Williams!”
The news blindsided friends, fans and colleagues of the X Factor judges who had no idea of the couple’s impending arrival.
An insider on the ITV show said: “It took everyone by surprise. Nobody could quite believe it. Even Simon Cowell didn’t know.”
Ayda and Robbie, 44, were understood to be with her at their LA home during a break in filming.
Acknowledging the secrecy surrounding the birth, she added: “It has been a very long and difficult path to get here, which is why we have kept it on the down low.
“Family comes in all forms and this little lady, who is biologically ours, was carried by an incredible surrogate mother to whom we will be eternally grateful.
Her XXXX Factor vow
The US-born star said: “Rob doesn’t have a filter and I swear a lot. When we met I was respectable.
“Now it’s bleeping this and see you next Tuesday.
“A lot of the words, I don’t know they’re bad.
“There might be moments where we say naughty things. I hope I can keep it together but I’m sure there will be a public apology.”
“We are over the moon to have this beautiful baby girl in our lives and so blessed that we live in a world which makes this possible.”
The X Factor insider said: “We’ve seen lots of Robbie and Ayda lately. They have been on great form on the judging panel. The fact they were going through so much behind the scenes has come absolutely out of nowhere.
“But obviously everybody here is delighted for them and we look forward to seeing them again at the next stage of filming.”
Ayda had daughter Teddy and son Charlie herself.
Joker Robbie broadcast live hospital footage of him alongside Ayda in labour just before his birth.
The couple return to screens this weekend for the second round of auditions.
