Rhian Sugden hits back at fans who think she’s pregnant after sharing positive Covid test

MODEL Rhian Sugden has hit back at fans who thought she was pregnant after she shared her positive coronavirus test on social media.

The former page three girl took to her Instagram stories on Christmas Day to reveal she was in self-isolation after testing positive for Covid-19.

Rhian, 35, was also forced to isolate over the festive period as she took to Instagram to share a phot of her positive lateral flow test.

"Merry Christmas," the snap had been captioned, as she jokingly added reindeer ears to the test, which had two clear red lines to mark a positive result.

Shockingly, the star was forced to hit back that wasn't PREGNANT after her following were convinced the test was to see if she had conceived.

"The amount of people that think that was a positive pregnancy test! Where have you been for the last 2 years," Rhian captioned a selfie.

Looking confused towards the camera as she sat in her pyjamas at home, she simply concluded for the confused fans: "It's a lateral flow."

It comes as Rhian has been vocal about her IVF struggle over the last two years after finding out she had a low egg count and required medical help to have kids.

In 2019, the glamour model revealed she had the egg count of a 45-year-old woman and even with IVF, her chances of conceiving are just two per cent.

“I feel like my womanhood’s been taken away from me," she exclusively told The Sun at the time. "Being a mum is all I ever wanted and to find out there is so slim a chance of it happening is heartbreaking.

“There have been a lot of tears. I have even come out in a nervous rash all over my body because it’s upset me so much.”

Rhian married Coronation Street star Oliver Mellor in 2018 – and had been trying to start a family before discovering the fertility issues.

“Doctors said I have the egg count of a woman over 45, meaning it’s unlikely I would ever conceive naturally," she explained.

“It also means the odds of getting pregnant by IVF have gone down from 30 per cent to two per cent – which was pretty devastating to hear.”

The star went ahead with IVF nonetheless through 2019 and 2020, but revealed how she was left "broken" when it failed to work.

After undergoing a gruelling 10 days of hormone injections, Rhian remained positive when she was told her second round had been more successful.

She had a two-week wait to find out if she was pregnant but – just a week before Christmas – her hopes were dashed when the test came back negative.

Rhian said of the devastating news: “After getting so far on our second round it was really heartbreaking to find out it hadn’t worked. It broke me.”

“It ruined Christmas for us both and it has been really difficult to deal with – especially for me having all the hormones injected and placing all my hopes on one egg."

“Infertility is something that isn't really spoken about, and is something men and women shouldn't be ashamed of."

Rhian shared last year how her third round of IVF had been cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
