Piers Morgan tells Danny Dyer 'I'm going nowhere' after the actor called for him to be sacked from Good Morning Britain

The TV host, 53, fired back at the actor after Danny declared: "He's got to go."

During an interview at the TV Choice Awards last night, Danny was asked how GMB could improve after the show failed to land a single nomination.

Danny said: "I think you've got to get rid of Piers."

His daughter Dani interrupted him to defend the news veteran, saying "he's not that bad".

But Danny snapped back: "Nah I think he's got to go."

After seeing the clip on GMB today, Piers has some strong words for Danny.

He said: "I'm going nowhere," before launching into an impression of the EastEnders geezer and thanking "Dyer Junior" for taking his side.

He said: "You start to really like Danny Dyer… I was just warming to the guy and then he does this."

The Sun has revealed Piers has signed a bumper new contact to keep him on GMB until the end of 2019.

But he admitted he could still get fired.

He said : "I always get fired eventually.

"I've massively outstayed my welcome."

When Susanna mentioned his new contract, Piers replied: "Yeah but that means nothing…

"I'll wake up one day and realise I've been transferred to BBC Breakfast in Salford and I'll know my life is over."
