Piers Morgan confirms when he'll be back on Good Morning Britain

Piers Morgan will be back on Good Morning Britain next month.

The divisive co-presenter has confirmed the news on Twitter, responding to an article published by The Scottish Sun.

His post reads: “Actually, I’m currently interviewing a serial killer in Florida – and I’ll be back on @GMB Sep 3 not Sep 18.”

Could this be some tropical version of Piers Morgan’s Life Stories he’s working on? We very much doubt it. Either way, the 53-year-old will be back on ITV in just a few weeks’ time.

Was that not long enough of a break for viewers, or are you looking forward to the return of a man who once threatened to walk from GMB after Susanna Reid retweeted his “enemy”?

Morgan’s presenting seat has been warmed by a variety of TV personalities recently, including Eamonn Holmes, Rylan-Clark Neal and, later this month, Jeremy Kyle.

In other GMB news, presenter Charlotte Hawkins has previously discussed what it’s like to work with the opinionated Donald Trump fan.

She explained: “Just recently he was having a cup of tea and he kept putting it in front of my shot and blocking me out. It was driving me nuts, and it was driving the director nuts who told Piers to stop doing it. Then he did it one more time and I lost it. He’s like a child.”

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
