The telly giant announced the news after the first movie proved to be their film of the summer, racking up millions of views – and even causing a spike in sales of Yakult, which appeared a lot.
A video released by Netflix this morning sees star Lana Condor, who plays Lara Jean, lying on her bed, saying: "Almost done with my Christmas list" when she gets a call from her co-star Noah Centineo.
"Noah," she tells the actor, who plays Peter. "I was literally just thinking about what to get you for Christmas."
After a bit of back and forth – and his famous line "Woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah" – Lana makes the announcement.
She says: "I am so excited. It is officially official. We are making the To All The Boys sequel!"
Fans, it is fair to say, have been excited, with one declaring: "CHRISTMAS CAME EARLY!!! ????❤️."
Others raved: "I. Can’t. Wait" and: "Yes it’s happening!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Another said: "I don’t know if I can handle this news, I obsessed over this movie for weeks! What will I do with myself when it premieres? ?"
Plenty of others posted their favourite GIFs from the first movie to sum up their feelings.
To All The Boys I've Loved Before, which came out in August, tells the tale of high school student Lana (Lana Condor) whose writes love letters to boys she likes – but locks them away.
But when the letters find themselves being posted to the boys they're about – including Peter (Noah Centino) all hell breaks loose.
One of the biggest mysteries from the first film centred around John Ambrose, a recipient of Lana's letter, who is seen in a cliffhanger arriving at her floor clutching flowers.
Today's teaser video ends with her on the phone to a mystery person, telling them: "What? You're gonna make the perfect John Ambrose."
All very intriguing – but we may have to wait a while to find out what will happen in the sequel.
Netflix has not yet announced when it will be appearing on our screens.
