Natalie Portman Updates Jessica Simpson Beef, Who's the Better Kisser? Ashton Kutcher or Mila Kunis

The “Vox Lux” star also dishes on lying next to Jude Law and ranks the “Star Wars” prequel films from best to worst.

Natalie Portman opened up and spoke very candidly about her unexpected recent beef with Jessica Simpson, giving Andy Cohen a status update on where they are now.

Elsewhere during her appearance on "Watch What Happens Live, the actress recalled "A Long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…" It’s been a long time since Portman donned the weird makeup and hair of Padme Amidala for the "Star Wars" prequels, but she still remembers the experience of making the films.

She talked about a wide variety of "Star Wars"-related topics, along with other memorable moments from her career, like getting intimate with Jude Law and making out with both sides of power couple Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis.

Sometimes being a successful actress doesn’t suck.

Natalie v Jessica Update

Never one to miss an opportunity for some juicy gossip, Andy just had to follow up on the beef Portman inadvertently created with Jessica Simpson. In an interview, she called out a 20-year-old magazine cover that had Simpson in a bikini while touting her virginity.

Portman told Andy that she has "only respect and good feelings" for Simpson, and further stated, "I think there’s no need for beef between women. We’re all in the same society and living with the same pressures and we’re allies."

"I was confused. Like, I don’t know what this is trying to tell me as a woman, as a girl," Portman originally said of the magazine cover. Simpson, upon hearing this, rightfully called her out, saying her comments were "disappointing," and the two had a very civil public discourse on the topic.

Portman told ET, "I would never intend to shame anybody and that was absolutely not my intention. I was really talking about mixed media messages out there for young women and completely apologize for any hurt it may have caused because that was definitely not my intention."

Ranking the Prequels

Andy just had to know how she would definitively rank the "Star Wars" prequel films, which she starred in, and we’re pleased to say that Portman got them just right. There is some argument in fan circles out there, but we think that anyoen who disagrees with the Queen of Naboo is just wrong.

"III, II, I," she said simply, giving their episode titles. Any fan worth their lightsaber knows that "Revenge of the Sith" is perhaps the only truly solid entry in the entire trilogy, with "Attack of the Clones" a solid and entertaining romp.

As for "The Phantom Menace"? Well, the Nintento 64 pod-racing game was pretty sweet, and everyone loves Darth Maul, but that’s about the only positive things to come out of the film. All of the problems with "Episode I" can usually be summed up with one character: Jar Jar Binks.

The Trouble With Gungans

The biggest drawback to the rightful hatred of the character of Jar Jar Binks is that all of that vitriol has impacted the actor who brought him to all his racial-caricatured life, Ahmed Best, who Natalie still thinks of as a good friend.

"He is so talented and so wonderful and I was very angry that they said bad things about him," Portman said. She totally sidestepped, though, her own opinion of the character outside of the man who portrayed him. Ahmed Best is probably a great guy. Jar Jar, though, and his entire Gungan species? Not so great.

What’s Good?

Later, though, Andy brought it around to lighter topics by asking her to chime in quickly on some of her co-stars that she’s shared more intimate screen-time with. Particularly, he wanted to know how Jude Law smelled. "All good things," Natalie said.

And when asked who was the better kisser of Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis — she’s kissed both on-screen — Natalie easily answered, "Mila, I mean, obviously."

Honestly, we kind of figured.
