Mel’s charming ex-husband causes trouble in first look at his EastEnders arrival

Mel Owen is in for a shock when her ex-husband rocks up in Albert Square in the coming weeks on EastEnders.

Ray Kelly, played by Sean Mahon, makes an unexpected arrival in Walford ahead of an explosive new storyline.

Just as things are looking up for Mel and partner Jack Branning this massive spanner is thrown into the works.

Jack is thrown when Mel’s charming ex suddenly rocks up in the street after receiving a call from meddling Hunter.

A first look at Ray’s arrival shows their is tension in the air as the newcomer introduces himself to Jack.


The pair shake hands during an awkward first encounter.

Ray can be seen holding what looks like a set of keys with a massive ‘M’ attached, perhaps hinting he still has feelings for Mel.

But delightful Ray decides to make Jack feel at ease and invites his ex-wife’s new man for lunch.

However, is he planning something more sinister?

Ray turns up in Albert Square because Hunter phoned his step dad up and told him a pack of lies.

The troubled teen told Ray that Jack wanted him to call him dad.
