FOX reality series The Masked Singer is going to be coming to an end soon. The all-important final is looming large on the TV horizon with only a couple more episodes left. Competition is heating up between the remaining contestants this week.
The Masked Singer will air tonight (Wednesday, April 1) on FOX in the US at 8pm Eastern Time and 7pm Pacific Time.
This evening’s episode will see the remaining contestants taking to the stage.
Called the Super Nine, the disguised stars will be again fighting it out for a place in the next round.
Another famous face will be unmasked before they’re sent home from the show.

The Masked Singer on FOX: Night Angel is R&B singer?
Performing in this evening’s episode is Turtle, Kangaroo, White Tiger, Kitty, Banana, Frog, Night Angel, Astronaut and Rhino.
The Super Nine will be singing a group number in the form of ABC by the Jackson 5.
Fans got a brief snippet from the number after US network FOX shared a preview video.
Among the characters hoping to stay in the contest is Astronaut but who is the star underneath mask?
Who is the Astronaut?
There have been many clues about Astronaut over the course of the show, which have alluded to his identity.
In his latest VT clue package, Astronaut teased: “When I started this journey, I never knew how at home I would feel in this spacesuit. It makes me kinda forget I’m still only human.
“But here’s my bro-pilot, who knows me better than anyone.”
The video then cut to someone whose face was obscured with a moon sitting by a campfire.

Astronaut’s bro-pilot said: “He knows how to lead a crew. But sometimes he can be a total space cadet.
“One time, in front of a crowd of thousands of people, he took a huge nosedive and fell flat on this face.
“Anyone else would have said, ‘Bye, bye, bye – called it quits. But not Astro.
“He got right back up. No stumble can stop him from reaching for the moon and the same goes for that golden mask.”

During the video clip, there was a cut to a coffee cup and a set of dice.
The clues package has given a lot of food for thought and Masked Singer fans have put their guessing hats on.
Among the possible candidates have been Hunter Hayes, an American country music singer.
Hayes is also a Guinness World Record Holder (which was a previous clue) after doing 10 performances live in 24 hours.
One other clue was the star had appeared with celebrity detective Nicole Scherzinger at an event previously, which some think might be another allusion to Hayes.
The mention of “bye, bye, bye” could be a misdirect and make some people think of a former NSYNC member but many believe the Astronaut is Hayes.
However, there have been some other guesses with some suggesting either Kevin Jonas or Joe Jonas, particularly given the brothers have a song called Only Human.
Additionally, the bro-pilot in the VT hints of a famous sibling.
The Masked Singer US airs on FOX in America on Wednesdays at 8/7c
