MAFS’ Martha receiving ‘death threats’ after wine-pouring incident

The pivotal moment of Sunday's penultimate episode of Married At First Sight was, for better or worse, landmark reality television: Martha pouring a glass of red wine over Cyrell's head, before Cyrell chased her around the table and flung another all over the back of Martha's custom-made, designer white dress.

"People know the shops that I am at because I am back living with my parents and they are like, 'Wait until I see you at so and so'. These messages were really scary, they know exactly the places that I go to."

During Sunday's dinner party, the 30-year-old had revealed that her parents were currently supporting her financially. Speaking to Kyle and Jackie O on Monday, she explained that her appearance on the show has affected her career as a freelance makeup artist because she doesn't "feel safe turning up to people's houses".

She said she asked to go back to her old job in a retailer but they declined because she is "too much of a liability".

"I am in a hard spot at the moment," she said.

Martha said she doesn't regret appearing on the reality show, but admitted "knowing what I know today I would probably think about it a little more."

She also said the dress, which was made for her by the same designer that created her wedding dress, has been "dry-cleaned and it's like brand new again".
