Showrunner Ildy Modrovich has released an unseen clip of star Tom Ellis singing for the Lucifer musical episode which aired as part of the second half of season five. Viewers of the Netflix dramedy were extremely happy to see the video and hope he will contribute more to the series’ soundtrack again in the future.
The season finale of season five aired recently and a major surprise was in store for shocked fans.
Many are now waiting with bated breath to see how this heavenly change will be explored in season six as Lucifer (played by Ellis) took over from his father (Dennis Haysbert) as God.
However, in the meantime, fans of the supernatural Netflix series can enjoy star Tom Ellis singing Queen’s Another One Bites The Dust.
Showrunner Ildy Modrovich posted the unseen clip of the actor singing on Twitter, much to the audience’s delight.
Modrovich captioned the video: “Little #LuciferBTS recording seshhhhh. Gonna miss these moments!!! #AnotherOneBitesTheDust.”
Ellis can be seen singing away to the Queen classic and getting into the spirit of Freddie Mercury.
The popular actor could barely contain himself though and even busted out a few moves.
Fans were loving the clip and many responded to Modrovich’s original post with their delight.
One fan wrote on Twitter: “So cute, he feels everything when he sings. Seems like everyone got fun on this masterpiece musical [heart emoji] Thank you for sharing #LuciferBTS.”
Another added: “This is soooooo cute. His excitement is so contagious.”
“What beautiful moments did you live! Tom was really enjoying it! I can’t imagine when all of it will end! thank you for this fantastic ride!” a third remarked.
“I love it how Tom is really trying not to break out in a full-on dance. It’s so much fun having you guys have fun,” another viewer continued. (sic)
However, fans were quick to request that Modrovich release the other behind-the-scenes clips of not just Ellis, just his fellow cast members as well.
“Tom is so dedicated and so fun but @Ildymojo you have the tom’s recordings for wicked game or I dreamed a dream, please we want more:),” one fan begged.
Stars Lauren German, Kevin Alejandro, Debbie Gibson, Aimee Garcia, Lesley-Ann Brandt, DB Woodside, Rachael Harris, Scarlett Estevez, and Dennis Haysbert all sang in the episode as well.
Hopefully, the showrunner will release more clips of the cast singing sometime soon.
This isn’t the first time Ellis has sung, as his character is frequently seen playing the piano on the show.
He has, so far, performed in seven episodes but he sings Another One Bites The Dust in the season five, part two musical episode Bloody Celestial Karaoke Jam.
In the episode, Ellis performs Wicked Game, Every Breath You Take, and I Dreamed A Dream, alongside the Queen hit.
The musical episode was a huge hit with fans, so is there a possibility there will be more to come in the final season?
