The second half of Lucifer season five has finally been unleashed, but the story is far from over. In the current hiatus before the upcoming sixth season, Netflix subscribers have been treated to a behind-the-scenes look at some of the funniest, awkward and downright baffling moments between the cast.

A jumbo-sized gag reel for the fifth season of Lucifer has finally been made available to the show’s faithful fans.

The four minute clip show compiles some of the cast’s biggest blunders from both halves of the latest outing, the latter of which was released in May.

In between the cast’s antics, Lucifer Morningstar himself Tom Ellis seemed to have trouble with one of the show’s sets.

During a tense moment between Lucifer and Chloe Decker (played by Lauren German), the devil takes out his anger on a loose panel on a wall.

Unfortunately, the star didn’t seem to know his own strength as the fake interior was ripped apart.

The Welsh leading man promptly drops out of character and exclaims: “Oh shit!”

Looking to the crew for help, he then said: “That doesn’t… that’s not good.”

Ellis then looks awkwardly to the camera, prompting a fit of laughter from the production team.

His co-star Lauren German didn’t offer much help either as she was seen doubling over in laughter after his mistake.

Thankfully no one else on set was quite as concerned as the star, so the accidental destruction was clearly fixable.

Lucifer’s season five gag reel naturally proved a rousing success amongst fans who are desperate for more content following the latest release.

When the video was posted on YouTube, one viewer commented: “Tom Ellis is one of the funniest people on earth.”

And another replied: “The way the entire gang is just as HILARIOUS as their on screen characters, I’M WHEEZING.”

The new gag reel also featured plenty of goofs from the rest of the show’s stellar cast, including Lesley-Ann Brandt (Mazikeen) and DB Woodside (Amenadiel).

During the episode ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’, which principally takes place in an aquarium, Ellis asks the Amenadiel star if he’s up for an audition for Aquaman 2.

Meanwhile, Brandt and German have a vulgar exchange about Lucifer and Chloe’s first sex scene, which was met with several raised eyebrows in the comments.

Plus, new guest star Dennis Haysbert even gets a look-in, as the cast expose his tendency to say ‘Watch this’ before starting a new scene.

Thankfully, the cast were able to keep their cool long enough and season five took the Biblical Netflix drama to dizzying new heights.

Unfortunately, this may be the last Lucifer content we see for a while as there is still no confirmation for the release of season six.

Lucifer Season 5, Part 2 is available to stream on Netflix.
