Last night’s Love Island saw things get heated between Michael Griffiths and Amber Gill.
The pair have had viewers on the edge of their seats with their on/off relationship in recent weeks however it looked as though romance was firmly off the cards for them after Michael decided to re-couple with Joanna Chimonides.
But after Joanna’s shock eviction, it appears as though the firefighter – who has been dubbed a “snake” by some viewers – had a change of heart as he wasted no time in cuddling up to Amber again.
Viewers were left in shock yesterday as they watched him pull the stunner aside before revealing he still has feelings for her and has been “denying it” to himself for weeks.
Standing by his words, he later planted a huge kiss on her during the gang’s challenge to find the buffest builder.
But his antics have left many viewers divided, while former Islander Elma Pazar is not at all impressed.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Star Online, the Essex beauty said: “Michael and Amber, I cannot believe what I’ve watched.
“Michael literally said, ‘There’s no chance of us ever getting back together, we are never ever getting back together, I found everything I wanted in Joanna, we’re not getting back together.’
“So for him to go from one extreme to the other, it’s literally mind-boggling. I was thinking to myself, ‘Surely this isn’t happening?’”
She continued: “It makes me think he’s playing a game. You cant go from one extreme to the other. I understand that you can’t switch off your feelings just like that but he was so adamant that he had, so for him to then go, ‘Actually, now that Joanna’s not here, I think I could give it another go,’ it’s just not adding up to me.”
Elma also said she felt sorry for Joanna, adding: “Imagine being Joanna at home, watching that, it would break your heart.”
The stunner shared her concerns that Amber would take Michael back due to her strong feelings for him.
She said: “I’m praying Amber stays as the Amber we all love and know and stays true to herself and doesn’t get back with him but the feelings are there.
“I know that her feelings for him are so genuine and she might think to herself that it’s not worth the risk of getting to know someone that she may potentially not like when there are only two weeks left of the show.
“She might go back and rekindle something that she knows is good and special because when she spoke to Michael previously, she did tell him, ‘I know we had a good connection.’”
Elma added: “I’m hoping she thinks with her head and not her vagina because we could all do without it. I feel like Michael has had his chance, he’s made his bed and he’s laid in it. He doesn’t deserve another chance with her, no way, absolutely not.”
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
