Love Island viewers brand Ron a ‘snake’ and tell Lana to ‘run’ after ‘lies’

Love Island viewers lost their trust in 25 year old Ron Hall as things fell apart between the cheeky Essex boy and blonde beauty Lana Jenkins during Friday's episode (27 January).

In the aftermath of new bombshell Ellie Spence, 25, shockingly picking Ron during the recoupling, things have been rocky for the couple already.

But while Lana, also 25, was feeling upset and disappointed in her villa set-up, Ron continually assured her he only had eyes for her.

Unfortunately, things changed as despite insisting he would call things off with Ellie straight away, Ron decided he had to be sure there wasn't a better connection between them.

"She's not my girlfriend, you can't just sort of wife yourself off," Ron told Ellie after a realisation.

Asked if he'd agreed this with Lana, Ron claimed he'd "made her aware", despite earlier telling the islander the complete opposite.

"I know it's going to be hard for her. But I'm going to speak to you," he continued. "I'm going to tread carefully but at the same time, I've gotta do me and I've gotta be selfish and do what I want to do.

"And that is, get to know people who I find attractive and click with – and see how far that goes."

Later on, Ron explained he'd changed his mind but Lana wasn't having any of it. She decided she knew her worth and wouldn't be part of a triangle in the villa, effectively shutting down the budding relationship.

While Ron told the boys he'd "f****d" things with Lana, and seemingly felt regret over his actions, by the next morning he was convinced he had a right to see where things went with both women.

Shaq Muhammad, who ended up getting hot and steamy in the Hideaway with Tanya the night before, told Ron off for how he'd handled the situation with Lana, as fans echoed the sentiment.

"Ron???? Not gonna go say two different things behind their backs?? Like you’re doing rn???" one person queried.

Another person said: "Ron is a toad. Red flags everywhere."

A third posted: "How is Ron lying so effortlessly like this I’m scared."

"Oof, who had odds on Ron being the snake of the season? Men continue to disappoint," a fourth viewer added.

What's more, other fans were begging for this series to have a Movie Night so the rest of the islanders could see the truth about Ron and his "lies".

Love Island continues Sunday night at 9pm on ITV
