A LOVE Island star has revealed that he’s going back to his “normal job” just weeks after appearing on the show.
Before heading onto the hit ITV dating show this summer, Scott Van Der Sluis, 22, was a footballer who played for the League of Ireland Premier Division side Shelbourne as a goalkeeper.
But the hunk in trunks swapped the footy pitch for life as a reality star on Love Island 2023.
He also ended up going onto the US version of the show, straight after being booted out of the Mallorca villa.
But now firmly back in the UK, the hunk shares that he’s returning to his semi-professional football job.
In a recent podcast, Scott said he wasn’t playing football too much at the time of going into the villa, and shared that his club was supportive but made it clear that there’d be no going back.

He told Vicky Pattison on her The Secret To Being Relatable podcast that he would be going back to the sport though, when asked if he was on a new path.
He continued: “But there’s so much going on now. I’m this young once and I would regret not doing some of the stuff I’ve been offered to do.
“And I think anyone else would do the same ultimately.”
At the time of Scott’s football departure before heading onto Love Island, former Premier League star Damien Duff, who was his manager at Shelbourne FC, joked: "I was shocked and saddened that Scott chose a villa in Mallorca full of beautiful single women over myself, the staff and the players."
