Love Island rival Parties In Paradise in production as ex-contestant Scott Thomas recruits sexy new stars – The Sun

LOVE Island has some new competition as ex-contestant Scott Thomas starts rival dating series, Parties in Paradise.

The Love Island alum, 31, is on the lookout for sexy contestants to join what is sure to be the latest smash in reality dating series.

Parties in Paradise will see young hotties sailing around on a lush yacht to the world's hottest party destinations, where they will dance, drink and potentially find love.

An insider tells The Sun Online: "It's in the middle of a bidding war between channels but it'll end up airing globally – it's huge.

"It's filming in October and November and the idea is that sexy single people cruise around on a yacht and fall in love.

"The boat will go between islands and they're looking for people who aren't famous – they want normal people who'll win the public's hearts, just like on Love Island.


"They haven't confirmed a presenter or when it's due to air, but it'll be going head to head with Love Island when it's on."

Parties in Paradise will be made by Fremantle, the production powerhouse behind Netflix's smash Too Hot To Handle and other reality juggernauts such as, The X Factor and American Idol.

Scott took to his Instagram stories to recruit sexy singles and invite them to apply.

He wrote: "Currently casting for a BIG new reality series called 'Parties in Paradise'.

People interested in joining the show need to email either [email protected] or [email protected].

The new series could become a smash hit, especially as Love Island is not returning for a summer series this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The decision to pull the plug on the popular ITV2 show came after bosses admitted they could not guarantee the safety of the contestants amid the on-going Covid-19 pandemic.

It is still yet to be confirmed if a winter version 2021 of the series will be made.

When Love Island returns it will likely to be for the summer version in 2021.

The success of Love Island but more recently Netflix's Love Is Blind and Too Hot To Handle show there is a big appetite for reality dating shows.

Love Is Blind became Netflix's number-one trending program in its first week of release and 30 million households have watched the series.

Too Hot To Handle also quickly rose to the top of Netflix's top watched programs, proving that people love watching sexy singles hook up.

Scott starred in the second series of ITV2's Love Island in 2016.

The hunk from Manchester lasted 45 days on the show, made it to the final and earned third place with his then-girlfriend Kady McDermott.

Scott has a twin, Adam Thomas and an older brother Ryan Thomas.

They have all made TV appearances and are known for performing.

Scott's dad, former musician Dougie James, was absent growing up and recently filmed a series with ITV to get to know his dad and his Indian heritage better.
