Their fellow islanders couldn’t hide their shock after Millie made the confession as Charlie walked into the villa during the first ever coupling.
As their suspicions were aroused that the pair could have fixed being in the show together, Millie was adamant it was innocent.
She spotted Charlie walking towards the line up and said: “Oh my god, I know him.”
Her co-stars rounded on her and asked her what she meant.
Millie admitted she had dated Charlie but shouted: “We didn’t have sex!”
Charlie winked at Millie and she gave him a shy wave.
When it came to him finding a partner, the girls weren't keen on the fact he'd been with Millie.
Natasha admitted she was interested in him but said she was worried about how they knew each other.
After they both protested they didn't have feelings for each other, Natasha agreed to partner up with him.
Fans of the British version of the show were gripped by “fix” claims throughout the previous series, which was won by Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham.
Many tuned into the Australia version, which started tonight on ITVBE .
They watched as Josh chose to partner with Tayla and Millie coupled up with Justin.
Grant chose Cassidy as his partner and Eden picked Erin as his partner.
Viewers were gobsmacked by the fast paced nature of the Aussie series, with many hailing it better than the UK version.
One fan tweeted: “I'm LOVING Australian Love Island! That Erin seems like she's gonna be a right handful but good TV @LoveIslandAU #LoveIslandAU annoyed it's played so late in the UK.”
A second commented: “Didn’t think I would be, but I’m actually into it!”
While a third said: “I think this series is going to have more drama than UK version, b****iness has already began.”
And they weren’t wrong, from the moment the girls met each other the catty comments began – with them poking fun at each other’s looks.
It wasn’t long until the action started either, as Eden and Erin snogged passionately as soon as the lights went down.
Love Island Australia continues tomorrow on ITVBE at 11pm.
