With “friends” like Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh doesn’t really need any enemies.
But despite feeling “depressed” over his X Factor axing in June, when he had a year left on his contract, Louis is keen for this year’s show to be a success.
The £1million payout he received will ease his pain.
He says: “In the end I’m happy, because I got paid. But I will miss being on the show.
“I loved that job. I did it for 13 years and never once looked at it as a proper job.”
Talking to Simon’s brother, Tony, in Best magazine, he says: “Simon’s always meddling with the show trying to get it just right. For his sake, all I want now is for this series to work for him.”
