Line Of Duty have announced a new castmember: Stephen Graham.
The Lancs actor, who is famed for his work in This Is England and Snatch, has played countless gangsters, criminals and some very frightening characters over his varied career.
So the announcement that he would join the cast may lead one to believe there’s something a little bit shocking prepared for viewers as he comes face to face with the three detectives who will aim to take him down – or perhaps he will be one of them?
Last week, after the gripping finale of Bodyguard, fans were treated to a teaser to give us a glimpse of series five of the show.
And AC-12’s person of interest? A new image released by the series producers shows Stephen Graham waking under a CCTV camera, making him look like Suspect No.1.
The series tweeted their welcome, to which Stephen replied: "Thanks for having me!!!"
Vicky McClure, Adrian Dunbar and Martin Compston have all confirmed their arrival back on the show, but now it looks as though they will be joined by Stephen.
And each of them have been posting their own clues to what may be ins tore next series.
Martin shared an image of his script, saying he "can’t wait to pull the waistcoat on again.
"Even better on second read. Mr Mercurio as done it again. Gonna be some ride."
But will Stephen be leading them up the garden path on their ride, or will there be something more sinister in store?
Line of Duty is set to return to BBC1 next year.
