Lethal Weapon‘s Keesha Sharp has praised Seann William Scott, saying he has been doing an “amazing job” on season 3.
Scott joined the show as new co-lead character Wesley Cole following Clayne Crawford’s departure as Martin Riggs, and Sharp – who plays Trish Murtaugh – said that it’s a very exciting time for the Fox drama.

“The show still has all the heart and action and drama, all the stuff that we’ve loved about the first two seasons,” she told Digital Spy, about Scott replacing Crawford. “But the characters are different.
“They come from different backgrounds, but it’s in a different place because Cole is different to Riggs. It’s really, really amazing what the writers have done. We’re very excited, and Cole is very exciting and very lethal, but also really different.”
Sharp called Scott “so positive and such a nice guy”, and highlighted how dedicated he is to the character and show.
“He’s the sweetest soul you will ever meet,” she said. “He’s a sweet, beautiful, really kind guy.
“The character knows every martial arts there is. The character speaks seven languages. This character’s really difficult in terms of having to learn all the martial arts, but Seann does it. Watching him work really hard – he’s doing an amazing job.
“When he has to speak a certain language, if he doesn’t know that language for real, we have translators to help. He’s doing amazing, and the character is bad AF.”
Sharp also discussed Damon Wayans’ future on Lethal Weapon, explaining that he’s happy on the show.
Lethal Weapon continues on Tuesdays at 8/7c on FOX. The series airs on ITV in the UK.
