He also said that Katie – who has been caught on camera rapping about cocaine – refused to let him pay on nights out and insisted on splashing the cash herself.
Kris, 29, has opened up about the pair's doomed romance following their split this month and revealed Katie, 40, did not seem to worry about money despite her financial troubles.
He told the Sunday Mirror: "She always wanted to pay.
"She hates people buying her stuff. We had full-on rows because I have wanted to buy her a present.
"She didn’t want anything paid for.
Kris went on to reveal she spoiled her five kids, Harvey, 16, Junior, 13, Princess,11, Jett, five and Bunny, four, and would spent hundreds of pounds a week on new toys.
He added: "She would spend hours in toy shops every week, spending hundreds.
“Bunny would get prams and Jet would get Nerf guns. She would spoil the kids."
Katie was given three months to sort out her finances after narrowly staving off bankruptcy this summer.
She has been selling off her beloved animals and her pink horse box and even faces losing her mansion in West Sussex.
Kris said he's been left "broken" by the split, which came after Katie, 40, was pictured cuddling up to 25-year-old businessman Alex Adderson.
They had even spoken about marriage for weeks before the break-up.
He said: "I was in love with the girl and up until last week she was down for getting married.
"We would talk about it all the time.
“She always said she wanted the fairytale ending and she wanted to live happily ever after."
Kris – who added he had lost a stone because of the stress of the split – revealed a jeweller pal in London's Hatton Garden was making an engagement ring for him to give Katie.
However on August 22, Katie was pictured holding hands with Alex, and she had been spending more time going out partying without Kris around the same time.
Kris decided to give Katie another chance, and said the pair made a commitment to each other and their future once again during a trip to Scotland.
But 48 hours later, Katie was back with Alex in Marbella, and Kris texted her to declare his love once more.
