Katherine Ryan says she’s ‘devastated’ by Gemma Collins and James Argent split after their sex confessions on Your Face Or Mine

The pair made an explosive turn on the brutal game show, where couples have to say whether the audience thinks their partner is more or less attractive than other people to win cash.

On it, Arg announced that they had romped in a broom cupboard – saying they had sex in "a lot" of strange places.

Sad Katherine told The Sun: "I loved Gemma and Arg on the show – they were so cute.

"They were my favourite celebrity couple. I know Gemma wasn’t feeling well that day and I know we’ve heard about Dancing On Ice and her diva antics, but there was none of that.

"She rallied herself, she made her episode very body positive and she was an absolute delight. Their split has ruined my day. It’s devastating."

Katherine, who hosts the hit show with Jimmy Carr, insisted: "I continue to think they belong together."

Your Face Or Mine returns to our screens at 8pm tonight with Oti Mabuse 28, and partner Marius Lepure appearing on the show.

Asked how they defy the infamous Strictly curse, Oti – who has partnered Anthony Ogogo and Danny Mac – quipped: "My husband makes sure every one of my partners have a warning, so they stay away."

Romanian dancer Marius then added: "They understand very fast."

Katherine tells us there is also a Your Face Or Mine first this series when a couple split up – and he gets together with another guest on the show.

She explained: "Since the show, the boyfriend has ended his relationship with his girlfriend and is now in a relationship with one of the mystery guests.

"This is a dream come true for Jimmy and myself. It was Christmas on Your Face Or Mine.

"We were just so elated that we’d not only split up a young couple but the boyfriend actually got off with the mystery guest and has come back on the show to win even more money."

But despite that brutal outcome, Katherine insists the show speaks the "language of love".

She explains: "I’m very fortunate to understand that beauty really is on the inside.

"As brutal as Your Face Or Mine appears to be, that’s what always comes out on the show. It does have a real heart of the show and it’s a weird format to get to know someone on the inside.

"However, the more lovely they are, the higher they get voted. I don’t think it’s that brutal. I think it’s a beautiful show."
Your Face Or Mine returns to Comedy Central tonight at 8pm
