Jemaine Pennant backtracks over Chloe CBB romance after saying marriage was over

Jermaine Pennant furiously backtracks over his romance with Chloe Ayling… by saying that it was all "just banter".

This comes after Chloe tells the rest of the housemates he has told her that his marriage is over .

The pair have been flirting non-stop since entering the Celebrity Big Brother house, with the ex-footballer even leaving her messages telling her he likes her on the model’s compact mirror.

This is despite the fact that Jermaine has been married since 2014, something Chloe still seems to have no knowledge of.

However the ex-footballer appears to take it all back when later talking to Ryan Thomas and Gabby Allen , saying that it’s all "just games".

He tells them: "No one’s done anything so no one’s going to get into trouble. Obviously she thinks one thing but I mean, nobody’s done anything. They’ve not got on camera like me kissing or anything like that, the games we’re playing."

Pointing out that Ben has kissed him on the lips, he says: "The most I done is kissed me on my eyelids and vice versa and that was a stupid destiny I will be playing tonight."

Gabby tries to be the voice of reason and says: "But the thing is, listen. I’m just saying from like a girl’s point of view, I would be concerned if I was going out and someone… because she might get called like all sorts of names you know, like as you’ve just said about the whole ‘If she knew that he had a girlfriend then she shouldn’t have been…"

"Yeah, she was told from the start that he had a girlfriend," Ryan says. "Then she told Natalie that she liked him, then Natalie told him she liked him."

Jermaine whines: "Then how’s that my fault?"

"It’s not your fault," Ryan placates him, but adds: "But them messages mate, they’re your fault."

"Yeah they’re just banter," Jermaine insists.

Ryan then tells him to have a conversation with Chloe so she knows where she stands.

But Jermaine responds: "I don’t want to have no conversation with Big Brother to embarrass people on the outside. What I’m doing is not embarrassing because this is all games."

He adds: "I don’t want to have certain conversations with someone when my missus is watching outside."

Things take an even more surprising turn tonight when Chloe relays to Ryan Jermaine’s shocking remarks.

After the ex-Coronation Street star pleads to know what the messages said, he is left stunned as he shouts his surprise around the house.

But as the housemates get excited, Dan Osborne tries to be the voice of reason as he says: "It’s all well and good us laughing about it, but his poor missus. She’ll see this on telly."

"Mate, don’t even go there," Ryan replies. "Are they together though? I warned him already. I did say to him, ‘You’ll see it back mate.’"

Chloe chips in: "This is the thing. Next I said, ‘But you have a girlfriend’. And then he goes, ‘It’s f***ed now’."

Ryan grabs his mouth as he laughs in astonishment, while Chloe adds: "And something else I don’t understand. So he’s basically said it’s over."

Later, Ryan is talking to Sally when he relays the conversation he had with Jermaine.

He says: "I pulled him to one side and when we sat down I said, ‘Listen mate, if you want my advice, I don’t mind bantering stuff with you but if you want my advice, I wouldn’t get in that bed with her tonight’."

Ryan, who is currently dating Lucy Mecklenburgh, adds: "He went, ‘I’m just playing a game mate’. So, from my point of view, I don’t know his lady, if Jermaine wants to make that decision for himself, he’s a grown man, he can do what he wants to do.

"Listen, if I did that to my missus I wouldn’t have any balls when I came out."
