At the time, Momoa said to his mother: “Mommy, I want that one. I want her. I am going to get her,” while pointing at Bonet, on the small screen. Momoa later admitted to James Corden on The Late Late Show that one of the creepy things he used to say about Bonet is: “I’m going to stalk you for the rest of my life, and I’m going to get you. I’m a full-fledged stalker.”

Momoa and Bonet met through mutual friends in 2004. Bonet was at a jazz club in Los Angeles with her friends. Momoa just happened to be there too.
That’s when a friend of Momoa who knew Bonet introduced him to her. Momoa described the feelings he had as, “fireworks going off inside.” Later in the evening, Momoa talked Bonet into giving him a ride to his hotel.
They stopped at a café along the way. When Bonet ordered a Guinness, Momoa was smitten. Bonet described the scene in an interview with Porter Magazine: “At that moment, love came, and it came big, and he did not run as I think a lot of men do.”
She added: “He basically picked me up and threw me over his shoulder, caveman style.”

Instead, he waited until after their son, Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha, was born to share how obsessed he had been with her. They also have a daughter Lola Iolani.
