A source exclusively told The Sun Online that the Dancing on Ice star’s parents were less than impressed with what James had to say.
James went to Gemma’s house to see her but was met by her parents, who acted as a mediator between the warring former-couple.
A source close to Gemma, 38, has revealed the 31-year-old tried to convince her parents the split is all down to her and that she is “crazy”.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online, the source said: “When Gemma’s parents arrived at the house to calm the situation down, he was saying ‘She’s crazy, she’s gone crazy’ to her dad, who wasn’t very impressed.
“They were standing by the car and he kept trying to blame Gemma for being ‘crazy’.”
The couple dramatically split last week after James posted a video of his then-girlfriend snoring on social media.A source revealed the buxom blonde had been “mortified” by the betrayal.
They revealed: “Gemma had to end it because she was so embarrassed by what James had done.
"She felt he had humiliated her and there was no choice but to end things."
The Sun Online also revealed that after leaving Gemma mortified by sharing the intimate video, James then proceeded to send her a torrent of abusive messages.
He is reported to have said: "You are a fat joke of a woman. An absolute car crash! You’re nearly 40 f***ing years old, you embarrassment."
Gemma asked her on-off boyfriend of seven years to “please leave my home today”.
But he continued: “You fat horrible lump. Nasty mean woman. Who the f*** do you think you are? You’ve got more rolls than Greggs.”
Gemma has since kicked James out of the Essex home they shared and had his duck egg blue scooter removed from the premises.
