Jamie-Lee Dayz, 27, is the latest woman to be eliminated from this season of The Bachelor, with Nick "Honey Badger" Cummins bidding farewell to the Bondi venue manager in Wednesday night's episode.
Though Dayz was only on the show for a total of two weeks – or five episodes – she caused something of a stir with her arrival.
Inside the mansion, the original bachelorettes were somewhat threatened by Cummins' instant attraction to Dayz (though they needn't have worried – it quickly fizzled out).
Outside of the mansion, a number of media outlets seemed more interested in Dayz's sexual orientation, and rumours of an in-house romance with fellow bachelorette Brooke Blurton.
But in an interview with Fairfax Media after her elimination, Dayz was quick to rubbish the speculation that's been doing the rounds this week, describing some of the stories as "laughable".
"Obviously I don't hide the fact that I've been in relationships with women in the past, I'm really open about that and really proud of who I am and Brooke's the same," Dayz said on the phone.
"Just because there are two – and I hate putting myself and other people into the box of 'bisexual' but it's the only word I can use right now – just because there are two bisexuals in one room, it doesn't necessarily mean that they're dating."
She also pointed out that the public's assumption of a relationship with Blurton is at odds with the modern times we live in.
"It's 2018 and it's a shame that we're still reducing sexuality down to the fact that there are two people who share one similarity," she said.
"It's so silly. I think I'm blessed to be able to speak on this topic because it's shown me how backwards some media outlets can be in portraying stuff like this. Some of the headlines I've seen are laughable."

While she's clear about the fact that there was nothing more than friendship for her in the mansion, Dayz did sing Blurton's praises – and made clear that she's "on the Nick and Brooke train, definitely".
"She's a fantastic person and I have so much love and respect for her," Dayz said of Blurton. "Brooke and I are definitely only friends and I'm so grateful I got to meet her along the journey and so grateful that we had such a great friendship."
Dayz might not have found a partner in Cummins, but since leaving the show she has fallen into a serious relationship – funnily enough, with her ex-girlfriend.
"I didn't expect it, but I found love," Dayz said. "We just ran into each other at an event we were both at and we just really hit it off again.
"Timing is right this time and it's just the most beautiful, supportive relationship that I've ever been in. I did not see it coming at all. She's amazing and I'm really happy."

As for the identity of her new love? Dayz has learnt her lesson from two headline-filled weeks on The Bachelor, and couldn't be drawn on revealing a name.
"Good God, no," she said with a laugh. "She has absolutely no online or social presence, which is so lovely and so refreshing. It's something I'm going to keep under wraps a little longer."
