Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) has already been through a lot in her life, with everything from teen pregnancy through to her baby’s father Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) blackmailing her boyfriend Noah (Jack Downham).
But she’s set for yet more drama in Emmerdale, in the shape of a cancer scare.
Scenes in the soap this week see the character confiding in Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) that she’s found a lump in her breast – with her thoughts immediately turning to her daughter Esther.
Things escalate from there, leaving the young mother terrified – but does this mean we could soon be bidding farewell to Amelia?

Metro.co.uk understands there are no immediate plans for Amelia to leave the show – but we’ll need to keep watching to find out how the new storyline unfolds.
Thursday night’s episode see the character worried about who will look after Esther if anything happens to her in spite of Victoria (Isabel Hodgins)’ attempts to reassure her.
Once at the doctors’ surgery, Amelia tells Manpreet about the lump, only to be overwhelmed when she refers her to the breast clinic.
Things move quickly from there, with Amelia receiving a call from the clinic while she is at the playground, asking to see her the next day.
And when Noah sees her crying after she receives the news, he decides to keep his distance.
However the story plays out, we can expect to see Amelia on the show for a while yet, with Daisy Campbell recently revealing she signed up for at least another year.
‘I recently signed for another year and couldn’t be happier’ she said.
‘But I never take it for granted because you never know when they might kill you off. It can happen to anyone.’
She also the reactions she gets from fans when she is on nights out – with some thinking she might have been pregnant for real.
It’s so funny,’ she told The Sun. ‘When people see me on a night out, they’re like: “Where’s your baby?”
‘And when Amelia was pregnant in the show, I’d get people coming up saying, “Oh so you’re not pregnant in real life then?”
‘Or they’d tell me I shouldn’t be drinking in ‘my condition’.
