I’M A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out of Here! is still going ahead in 2020 despite the outbreak of coronavirus.
Rumoured famous names are starting to be touted around and we have all the details about the potential line-up for the next series.
Which stars are rumoured to appear on I'm A Celebrity 2020?
On August 7, 2020, The Sun exclusively revealed that I'm A Celebrity was relocating from an Oz jungle to Gwrych Castle.
ITV producers took the decision after lockdown restrictions over coronavirus in Australia made planning the usual show impossible, with borders in the country shut down.
Here we take a look at who is rumoured to be heading to the castle.
Vernon Kay
Vernon Kay is said to have signed a staggering £250k deal to appear on I'm A Celebrity in 2020.
The 46-year-old star has been approached several times in the past, but ITV bosses have only just managed to sign him up.
Producers are thrilled to have snapped him up for a quarter of a million pounds, with the TV presenter due to appear on the reality show while his wife Tess Daly presents Strictly Come Dancing in the UK.
An insider told The Mirror: "Everyone’s so pleased to have Vernon on board, he’s a lovely guy, full of down-to-earth northern charm and perfect for the show."
AJ Pritchard
The dancing pro sensationally quit Strictly in March 2020.
He wouldn't normally be free during the time that I'm A Celeb runs due to his Strictly commitments.
But for the 2020 show he is free as a bird.
Russell Watson
The popular singer is famous for being a judge on BBC One’s talent show Last Choir Standing, which began in 2008.
Russell’s appearance in the show comes after he fought off a near-fatal brain tumour in 2007, which required emergency surgery and an extensive rehabilitation programme.
Victoria Derbyshire
Victoria’s new venture comes just months after the BBC axed her daily talk show.
The broadcaster is a well-respected figure in TV.
Victoria had a single mastectomy after a breast cancer diagnosis in 2015.
Jessica Plummer
Soap star Jessica is also rumoured to be joining the jungle.
She joined EastEnders last year as hairdresser Chantelle, and became a fan favourite.
The soap star hopes to repeat the success last year of fellow Walford star Jacqueline Jossa.
Beverley Callard
Coronation Street star Beverley Callard has reportedly signed on to star in the 2020 series.
Bev plays feisty barmaid Liz McDonald in the ITV soap.
Beverley, 63, suddenly disappeared from the soap at the beginning of 2020, later revealing that it was due to a minor hip operation that went disastrously wrong and led to a full hip replacement.
Ruthie Henshall
Actress, singer and dancer Ruthie Henshall has been rumoured as a jungle contestant this year.
West End veteran Ruthie, 53, is a former lover of Prince Edward. She was often smuggled into Buckingham Palace during their relationship.
Ruthie has admitted she dated the Prince — now 56 and married to Sophie, Countess of Wessex — in the early 1990s “solidly for a couple of years, but on and off for five”.
Hollie Arnold
Hollie is a record-breaking British parasport javelin athlete.
She competed at the Rio Paralympics in 2016, 2017 World Championships and the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Keith Duffy
Th Sun revealed how Keith is eyeing up a place in the castle.
The Boyzone star was asked to take part earlier in the year but was going on tour with Brian McFadden.
After Covid pushed back the 37-date tour until 2021, Keith was tapped up again.
A TV insider said: “Keith has had Zoom meetings with I’m A Celebrity’s booker.
“Since the location moved from Australia to North Wales it’s been a little more tricky to get people on board but the team are confident they sold it well."
Andi Peters
TV legend Andi is being touted by the bookies to appear on I'm A Celebrity.
It was after the presenter gave a massive clue on Good Morning Britain by filming his segments from a Go Ape activity centre.
He also had the I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! theme song playing in the background.
Christine Quinn
Following the HUGE success of Selling Sunset, bookies now think that Christine will be signed up by ITV.
The blonde bombshell has been the biggest hit of the show so producers will want to snap her up.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "Christine could be about to swap the Hollywood Hills for a haunted Welsh castle if the latest odds are anything to go by with an I'm A Celeb stint potentially on the cards."
Kieran Hayler
Katie Price's ex Kieran claims he's in talks for I'm A Celeb.
The former stripper, 33, says he would "love" to be part of the line-up.
Speaking about the chance of signing up to the 2020 series, Kieran told New! magazine: "I’d love to go on I’m A Celeb.
"I’d love to do it because I’m into the outdoors anyway so for me it would be really cool.
"I think it’s just the eating stuff I’d be a bit rubbish at – and it’s closer to home now I’ve heard!"
Tamzin Outhwaite
Tamzin, 49, has been a top target for BBC’s Strictly this year, but seems to have opted for I'm A Celeb.
A source said: “It’s early days with Tamzin but she’s someone producers have discussed going to Oz in the autumn — and she’s told pals she is 100 per cent not taking part in Strictly.
The former EastEnders star announced in 2019 she was leaving the show.
John Bercow
Mr Bercow, 56, signed off as Speaker in 2019 after ten years, earning around £1.4 million.
In 2019, Mr Bercow's spokesman told the Mirror he had no plans to join Ant and Dec in the Australian jungle. However, with no work on at the moment, he may change his mind.
According to the Mirror he had priced himself out of the show by demanding £1million.
His wife Sally Bercow made an appearance on Big Brother in 2011 so he may be tempted to follow in her reality show footsteps.
Baga Chipz
Baga Chipz has proved to be a massive personality, after appearing on Drag Race UK and Celebrity MasterChef (briefly).
The Walthamstow star describes herself as "common as muck" and fans would love to see her navigate the jungle.
Although her cooking skills weren't up to much, she'd definitely bring some life into the line up.
Charles Ingram
Charles has been back in the press in 2020 following the ITV show Quiz.
The series revisited his cheating scandal on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
The former army major has always strongly denied the allegations, so could use I'm A Celeb to clear his name.
Matt Baker
Matt is a free man at the moment, having quit The One Show.
He will be on the look out for his next project.
It is now rumoured he will be heading for the jungle in 2020.
Joe Sugg
After the success of Strictly 2018, Joe has become quite the household name.
He is now tipped to go into the jungle, due to his popularity.
Eric Cantona
The Sun exclusively revealed that football legend Eric is the name at the top of ITV's wish list for the new series.
The eccentric Manchester United idol is known for bizarre comments and behaviour and TV chiefs think he would be great to watch tackling bugs and critters in the jungle.
Show producer Richard Cowles named the 53-year-old Frenchman when asked who he is most eager to hire. He said: “I just like the idea of Eric Cantona talking in French and coming up with really profound things.
That would be good.” Mr Cowles, speaking at a Royal Television Society talk in Birmingham also said he would love to bag ex-United boss Sir Alex Ferguson but added: “That will never happen.”
Who won I'm A Celebrity 2019?
The reigning Queen of the Jungle is Jacqueline Jossa after she was crowned the winner of I'm A Celebrity.
Speaking about winning the show she said "I can't believe I've done all that stuff."
In an emotional moment, she said that she felt the show had been a "turning point" in her life.
Corrie actor Andy Whyment was runner-up and DJ Roman Kemp placed third.
I'm A Celebrity 2019's Jacqueline Jossa is queen of the jungle!
